Health Systems, Policy, and Resource Management

The first step for nurses to take an active role in policy development and implementation is to thoroughly understand the issues. Identify a current health care issue, regulation, law, or policy being considered or debated by the American Nurses Association, a state board of nursing, or a state legislature. These issues can be found on the websites of these various organizations. In your post, describe and justify your position and opinion, either in favor or opposing it. Support your position with peer-reviewed literature reflecting evidence. Respond to classmates by either agreeing or disagreeing with their views of the issues, again, backed by evidence.
