Seven-year-old Naseem presents with his parents for acute abdominal pain. There is no evidence of trauma, but he is positive for fever of 102 °F (38.8 °C). Pick one of the conditions as your diagnosis. Tell how you arrived at it and differentiated it from the others. What is your treatment?
Lesson Introduction
This lesson moves to the gastrointestinal and genitourinary systems of the pediatric population. Review how to perform a thorough history and physical assessment involving the abdomen. Identify multiple gastrointestinal and genitourinary conditions that might affect the pediatric population, along with recommended evidence-based treatment.
