It is equivalent to an AS, therefore it does not need to be written at a university level. The EPQ consists of research and a 5000 word essay. I am aiming to do it about death row.

MY QUESTION: Analyzing the reasons for Death Row in the United States and why it is not accepted in certain parts of Europe.
The research needs to have primary evidence, it needs to include facts, figures, data, graphs and reliable sources to back up the question. If there is enough secondary evidence to answer the question then the primary evidence can be reduced. However, the research needs to be aimed at why the lethal injection is acceptable, why certain parts of Europe don\’t approve of death row, what other executions in America are there apart from the lethal injection.
Opinions from ex and former officers would be ideal, but again it needs to be reliable. The research shoukd then form a good argument in the essay. The reasons for and against death row with evidence to support each one.
AQA mark scheme explains what needs to be included. The research needs to be done by 30th October, and the essay December.
The essay must be an appropriate presentation.
Therefore, i am not sure how many pieces of paper it will take for the research. I will purchase one and then add on the payments as it goes along.
