Prepare a 15–20-minute power point case study presentation on a specific disease process, preferably one you have a gap in knowledge about so you can optimize your learning.
This case study will be recorded by your in a professional manner (you must appear in the video) and posted to CANVAS. You may present to others or to an empty space. Present the power points making sure you are visible in the presentation. Audio only submissions will not receive any points for the assignment.
Presentations should include:
Comprehensive description of the chief complaint with presenting signs and symptoms.
Identify five potential differential diagnosis, in order of priority, related to the chief complaint.
Pathophysiology and clinical manifestations related to the disease process identified and how it presents across the lifespan.
Laboratory and diagnostic studies used in identification and diagnosis of the problem.
Management and treatment to include pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments.
Cultural and socio-cultural considerations.
Prognosis and expected health outcome.
Teaching guidance
There should be a reference slide and slides are required to have citations (a minimum of 5 peer reviewed articles), do not use the text as a reference or citation. Use APA formatting for citations and references.
