Care Map
1. Pediatric (Neonatal) Care Map: The purpose of the care map is to integrate concepts of pathophysiology, assessment, treatment, nursing process, and nursing research in a to articulate the needs and evidence based responses to those needs for a pediatric patient and their family. This will give you an opportunity to demonstrate your ability to organize and interpret data and to critically think about and analyze your nursing care.
2. Maternal-(Mother)Care Map: The purpose of the nursing care map is to integrate concepts of pathophysiology, assessment, treatment, nursing process, and nursing research in a to articulate the needs and evidence-based responses to those needs for a perinatal patient and her infant. This will give you an opportunity to demonstrate your ability to organize and interpret data and to critically think about and analyze your nursing care. You are to complete a care map for a woman in labor and delivery, a postpartum patient, and a normal newborn.
Students must select one maternal (mother) and one newborn case study and submit a combined file with a care map for the maternal (mother) and pediactric (neonatal) (See care/concept map and case study list attachments).
