Describe the national healthcare issue/stressor you selected and its impact on your organization. Summarize the strategies used to address the organizational impact of national healthcare issues/stressors presented in the scholarly resources you selected. Explain how they may impact your organization both positively and negatively. Be specific and provide examples.

Introduction of Current Healthcare Issue
One of the major national healthcare issues of modern-day healthcare in America is the compromised quality of patient care. There are many fingers to point and reasons to blame for the compromise of the quality of patient care. Some of the main reasons for the compromise of the quality of care are poor work environment, lack of workforce, and an exhausted workforce (Jacobs, et al. 2018).
The compromise of the quality of patient care may impact my current work setting. The implementation of the Triple Aim will help to maintain the quality of patient care (Broome & Marshall, 2021). The Triple Aim has three critical components and one of them is improved quality of care (Broome & Marshall, 2021). Taking the Triple Aim approach will help to make improvements to the issue of compromised quality of patient care.
Some of the ways that the work setting would be affected are decreased metrics, survey scores, financial reimbursement, and viability of the department (Broome & Marshall, 2021). The way in which the health system work setting has responded to this healthcare issue is by implementing the Triple Aim approach, reviewing the issue with a multi-disciplinary team, and finding the specific reasons for the deficit. With the Triple Aim, and a multi-disciplinary approach the goals can be reached, and the quality of patient care maintained. Some of the implementations such as interviewing staff, filling staffing gaps to reduce work exhaustion, and marketing for additional staff to reduce the amount of overtime. According to (Auerbach, et al, 2018) the quality of patient care is maintained with increased staffing such as recent examples of increased numbers of APRNs being hired helping to maintain the quality of patient care in the healthcare industry.
Overall, improving the work environment by increasing the staff in the workforce, and reducing work exhaustion helps to improve the quality and satisfaction of the patient experience.
