The student must select his or her own topic which must be approved by the instructor. As an example, chapter 18 in the text discusses telecommuting, which raises potential concerns for both the employee and the employer (e.g. How does the employer ensure the employee is working productively? What are potential employee concerns regarding privacy if monitored for productivity?). Using that material, plus additional research, an ethical reasoning paper may be created successfully. No matter the specific topic, it is very important that multiple ethical viewpoints be addressed. In the case of telecommuting, for example, the ethical concerns that of the employee and that of the employer. The paper must use proper APA format, must be three to five pages in length (not counting the title page and references page), does not need an abstract, and meet the requirements in the rubric provided below.
