? Identify the public health issue related to your field of practice (give a rationale – why is this relevant to your field of nursing?) The choice of public health issue is wide ? you can choose something which is topical e.g. obesity, exercise, alcohol, smoking, substance use and misuse, sexual health, mental wellbeing, breastfeeding, childhood immunisation. o Exploration of the size of the health problem -who is most affected and why? Discuss trends. Use appropriate epidemiological language; incidences, prevalence, epidemic etc. Examine the impact of the health issue on the population ? consider mortality, morbidity and quality of life.
