For this assignment, we are to design a poster for a professional presentation on my DNP project. The audience are fellow DNPs, Professors, Mentors and DNP students. We are to provide meaningful information that indicates critical thinking and credibility. An effective poster needs to be a summary of the scholarly paper, including illustrations and supportive narrative. However, posters overloaded with narrative are difficult to comprehend and therefore, the significance of the scholarly project may not be implicit. Less is more; posters ideally consist of 300–500 words. The DNP poster typically consist of the following sections:
Title
Purpose or Aim
Background &/or Significance of the Problem
Setting &/or Sample
Methodology
Results
Conclusions, Recommendations, &/or Implications for Practice
References
While each of the poster sections is distinct, the entire poster must be viewed as a whole to facilitate comprehension of the scholarly project. The poster must measure 36X48 for placement in the virtual poster room and must be done using the attached template – You may alter the colors and the design but please do not change the size of the poster.
