DISCUSSION 3.1: Hypertension SOAP Note (Pertinent Experience)
Introduction
The first lesson of module three explores disorders involving the cardiovascular system. You will learn the different epidemiology, pathophysiology, clinical presentation, management, and treatment of these conditions.
In this module, you will have another Board Vitals quiz that focuses on the cardiovascular system. So please make sure to review any previous readings from your previous courses. You will also have a discussion that has to do with hypertension. Please make sure that this is in the SOAP note format, and use current guidelines.
Make sure that you cite these guidelines as well to support your SOAP note treatment plan and diagnosis. You will also have your coding assignment. So please make sure to follow the rubric for this. Finally, you will have your second Typhon checkpoint. Make sure that you’re getting those hours in, and please reach out to your instructors for any questions.

1. Identify a patient with hypertension for whom you have provided care during practicum or other work experience.
2. Describe the treatment that you provided (or would provide) for hypertension and why this was chosen. Did you order any testing? Why? Any referrals?
3. Identify other differential diagnoses that may be considered for the complaint or symptom.
