Instructions Consider the potential mixed methods research topic you might choose for your Signature Assignment. This can be a topic you have examined in previous courses or one you have recently become interested in exploring further.
This topic would ideally be suitable for your dissertation, although this is not a requirement for this course. Once you have chosen a fairly broad topic, select three peer-reviewed mixed methodology research articles related to your potential topic of interest using the Northcentral Library. Ensure the sources involve actual conducted mixed methods studies and not a review of a multitude of previously conducted research. For each article, discuss the following elements: • Summarize the research problem. • Identify the purpose or intent of the research. • Summarize the research questions(s). • State the hypotheses, if provided. • Identify and explain the specific qualitative and quantitative design elements. • Identify and describe the sample/participants and potential population. • Explain how both the qualitative and quantitative data were collected. • Explain and summarize how the ethical treatment of the human subjects was ensured. • Determine how both the qualitative and quantitative data were analyzed. • Briefly reflect on the overall strengths and weaknesses of the reviewed mixed methods research. Support your assignment with at least five scholarly resources. In addition to these specified resources, other appropriate scholarly resources, including older articles, may be included. Length: 5-7 pages, not including title and reference pages
