The purpose of this assignment is to learn about the concept of Inter-professional Education (IPE) and Inter-professional Practice (IPP) and how it will impact educational and professional practice in the future of healthcare delivery–as well as how or why is IPE and IPP relevant to the professional nurse. This assignment is also designed for you to learn more about using library research databases.
Research:
Using your campus library resources, find two research articles from refereed nursing journals that discuss the concept and application of either Inter-professional Education or Inter-professional Practice, and the purpose behind the concept. The articles should not be older than 5 years.
Write:
Write a literature review of two research articles from refereed nursing journals that discuss the concept of interprofessional education (IPE) and or interprofessional practice (IPP) the purpose behind the concept. The articles should be no more than 5 years old. This paper should be written as a formal APA paper. This paper should be written in your own words, points will be removed for direct quotes or direct similarity to other sources. Remember to credit the source with in-text citations. Each of the content section listed (bolded words) on the rubric should be identifiable sections within your paper. The sections listed below should be headers within your paper.
Overview of articles: include an introduction to the articles and the topic(s) (10 points)
Content discussion of the articles; similar or dissimilar themes or ideas of the two articles. (20 points)
Application to nursing and relevance to the professional nurse identified within the studies. (20 points)
Benefits and/or barriers of IPE identified within the articles. (10 points)
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: how might the themes and ideas relate to diversity, equity, and inclusion (10 points)
