The purpose of this assignment is to create your commitment statement as a DNP-prepared nurse leader that reflects your values, principles, and dedication to building and maintaining a healthy workplace environment and preventing workplace violence.
Instructions
Review the Week 5 readings and lessons, focusing on workplace violence and the recommendations from national organizations such as the following for preventing workplace violence:

Create your leadership commitment statement for the prevention of workplace violence.
Include the following in your paper:
1. Introduction
a. Introduce the paper’s main theme (workplace violence) addressing the importance of the topic.
b. Provide a clear purpose statement (mirrors the assignment purpose).
c. Provide a brief and defining statement of what will be discussed in the paper (reflecting the Level 1 headings, except the conclusion).
2. Description of the Problem: Examine and provide a brief description of the problem.
3. Leader Commitment Statement: Create your leadership commitment statement on workplace violence prevention and include strategies to address the problem.
4. Expected Outcomes: Explain your expected outcomes from these strategies.
5. Conclusion
a. Summarize the main points in the paper
b. Summarize the nurse leader’s accountability for creating a strategy to mitigate violence in the workplace.
