You are asked to discuss the different advanced practice registered nurses (APRN) roles. It is imperative for new APRNs to understand the essential roles associated with the APRN scope of practice, including typical challenges and strategies to help them navigate professional relationships.
Prepare a 12- to 15-slide PowerPoint® presentation with speaker notes for nurse practitioner students. Complete the following in your presentation:
Describe the 4 types of APRNs:
Nurse-midwife
Nurse practitioner
Clinical nurse specialist
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist
Explain the scope of practice for each type.
Differentiate educational requirements for each type of APRN.
Describe reimbursement for each type of APRN.
Describe the relationship challenges faced by APRNs in the workplace.
