The medications used in the treatment of anxiety disorders include drugs in the benzodiazepine class. Once one of the most popular classes of drugs prescribed for anxiety, their use has decreased over time. To explore the benefits and risks of using this class of drugs for anxiety, you will practice explaining this drug type to a patient.
Create a patient-oriented educational sheet of 1 page (approximately 350 words) discussing the advantages and disadvantages of using benzodiazepines to assist them in deciding if this treatment modality is an option for them.
