Section 1: Academic Research
A. Identify one career role related to your Degree Plan’s (nursing health & science) focus that you will use as the basis for Section 1 and Section 2.
B. Using the attached "Sources Template" document, conduct research and identify four credible sources in the following formats that are related to the career role identified in part A. At least one of these sources must be obtained through the WGU Library, and all sources must include a functional link. You must include one source in each of the following formats:

1. Describe three relevant professional skills (e.g., communication, attitude, problem-solving) that are essential for success in the career role identified in part A. Support your description using relevant, cited examples from the sources identified in part B.
a. Describe one relevant problem a person in this career role is likely to encounter, and support your explanation using relevant, cited examples from the sources identified in Section 1.
i. Explain how one of the skills described in part C1 can be applied to the problem identified in part C1a. Support your explanation using relevant, cited examples from the sources identified in part B.
2. Describe the individuals (e.g., patient, client, or peer) a person in the career role identified in part A would frequently encounter, and support your description using relevant, cited examples from the sources identified in part B.
a. Explain the importance of using cultural awareness when interacting with the individuals described in part C2, and support your explanation using relevant, cited examples from the sources identified in part B.
D. Acknowledge sources, using in-text citations and references, for content that is quoted, paraphrased, or summarized.
E. Demonstrate professional communication in the content and presentation of your submission.
