Note that RNs must not solely rely on nursing theory to frame their practice. As such, there are some wonderful educational theories, socio-political theories, psychology theories, organizational theories and so on that can be applied to RN professional practice.
Search for a non-nursing theory/conceptual model that is applicable to your practice setting and describe how that theory/conceptual model is relevant to your area of practice and your patient population. Do not cite Maslow’s Hierarchal Theory. In your post, indicate whether you are employed in a rural or urban (Urban) setting and what type of setting it is (Hospital).
