1.Identify the bill and its numbers. Provide a copy of the proposal and summarize the intent as well as its implications for the nursing profession.
2.Find out where it is in the process of becoming law.
3.Write an advocacy letter either for or against its passage and address it to the chairperson of the committee as well as your representative. Be sure that you have identified the appropriate person for your district. Send it to them via email.
