DISCUSSION 5.1: Research Steps Along the Way
Lesson Introduction
Welcome to the sixth week of Professional Aspects of Advanced Nursing Practice. This week, we will review how the APN can develop a research attitude in others and facilitate evidence-based practice by including research findings in clinical practice. You will read selected content from your textbook and participate in a discussion.
This week, we will review how the practicing APN can encourage and support the benefits of collaborative research among fellow colleagues by demonstrating outcome expectations with daily practice.

• Identify additional sources and explain how you plan to overcome this barrier to research. Consider how others may be supported in your evaluation and ensure that the method you describe is clear.
