Lesson Introduction
Welcome to the fourteenth week of Professional Aspects of Advanced Nursing Practice. During this lesson, we will practice interviewing and working on polishing your curriculum vitae (CV). You will read selected content from your textbook, watch a couple of videos selected by your instructor, and complete a couple of assignments.
During this lesson, we will review interviewing for upcoming employment and receive feedback on your curriculum vitae (CV).

Create a one-slide PowerPoint slide presentation and record yourself in Canvas studio answering the questions below. Your presentation should be no longer than 5 minutes.
• Identify why you are a new practitioner worthy of hire.
• Identify four positive traits you possess.
• Identify two traits you possess that you believe need improvement and could be improved by you when hired into a new position as an APN.

Criteria Expectations
Content of presentation Presentation includes a succinct, well-articulated summary of background and why the interviewee is a good fit for the position. Interviewee identifies four positive traits, supported by examples. Interviewee identifies two traits that could be improved, skillfully embedding a positive trait within the description, and suggests a strategy for improvement.
Presentation of self Interviewee is appropriately dressed and projects a comfortable confidence throughout the presentation. Positive energy and sincerity of intention is conveyed through good posture and eye contact. Interviewee displays professional etiquette (e.g., appropriate thank-yous).
Supporting powerpoint slide Slide is clearly formatted to highlight interviewee’s critical information and relevant experience. Language is engaging, structurally consistent, and free of errors in grammar and spelling.
