Nursing Conceptsthe concepts attributed to the nursing paradigm: person, health, environment, nursing finding at least three definitions of each demonstrating as wide a perspective as possible. Any source may be used, for example: how is the concept of nurse defined in the dictionary, by law, by a particular theorist, by your grandmother, etc.? Present the definitions and reflect on the meaning of each concept. Ask if the four concepts can be related to one another and, if so, in what ways. (Does nursing relate to health? Does the definition of person relate to the definition of nursing?) Use this as an exercise to begin to find a model of nursing that ‘fits’ you. All sources should be properly referenced. Include a model of your own design to illustrate the relationship of the concepts.
